The Grupo de Estudos em Bovinos Leiteiros (GEBOL), from FMVZ–UNESP Botucatu, is hosting the webinar “Cow-calf contact - Practices and experiences between Brazil and Norway.” This free online event, held in English, will bring together researchers and professionals to discuss different perspectives on extended cow-calf contact in dairy production. The event will present experiences and practices from Brazil and Norway, addressing different approaches to managing cow-calf contact, as well as their challenges and potential benefits. The program will also provide an opportunity to discuss aspects related to animal behavior, management, animal welfare, and the feasibility of adopting these strategies in different dairy production systems. The webinar will be an opportunity for students, researchers, professionals, and anyone interested in dairy cattle production and animal welfare to learn about international experiences and contribute to the discussion on new approaches to calf rearing and dairy cow welfare.
